How It All Began

What We’re Here to Do

How It All Began

The phrase “getting invited to the BBQ” started as a TikTok metaphor—code for being welcomed into the culture. But this wasn’t about food. It was about recognition.

“You’re not just invited. You’re family.”

The phrase “invited to the BBQ” started as a TikTok cultural signal—a way of saying, you get it.

It wasn’t really about food. It was about belonging, understanding, and deep respect.

As members of the Black community, we recognized something familiar in the redheaded community.

They’ve been mocked. Othered. Singled out for just being who they are.

And though our histories aren’t identical, the pain of being treated as different? That, we knew.

So we took the spirit of the BBQ and turned it into something bigger:

Not an invitation to visit—an invitation to belong.

Not guests. Family.

Because when you know what it feels like to be left out,

you learn how to make space for others to be let in.
To be invited meant something. It meant you carried yourself in a way that resonated with the Black community. You earned your spot—not just at the grill, but at the table. (Just don’t try to cook. We’ve seen your potato salad.)

This movement was born from that spirit—of kinship, of connection, and of looking beyond skin to see soul.
As Black folks, we’ve watched our ginger cousins get mocked, bullied, othered. And while our journeys are different, the pain of being singled out for how you were born? That, we understood.

So we didn’t just want to give them an invite. We wanted to give them belonging.
Not as guests. As family.
Because if there’s one thing we do well—it’s turning “you don’t belong” into “pull up a chair—you’re home now.”

Why This Matters

What We’re Here to Do

How It All Began

“This isn’t just a cookout—it’s a cultural reset.”

We’re fueling something that goes way beyond a single event.

This is the beginning of long-term community healing through:

  • Shared Celebration – Replacing shame and ridicule with joy and connection
  • Bridge-Building – Linking two historically “othered” groups and creating a model for unity
  • Empow

  • Empowerment Through Support – Not just social recognition, but business, collaboration, and growth
  • An Ecosystem of Love – When we show up for each other in life and business, we all rise

Every gathering is a spark. Every laugh around the grill is a shift in culture.

We’re creating an unstoppable ripple.

What We’re Here to Do

What We’re Here to Do

What We’re Here to Do

“This isn’t about a weekend. It’s about legacy.”

Our long-term vision is to build a self-sustaining support system that changes lives—socially, economically, and spiritually.

Sustainable Support Systems

  • Mentorship programs
  • Business incubators for underrepresented communities
  • Skill-sharing hubs that create real opportunity

“This isn’t about a weekend. It’s about legacy.”

Our long-term vision is to build a self-sustaining support system that changes lives—socially, economically, and spiritually.

Sustainable Support Systems

  • Mentorship programs
  • Business incubators for underrepresented communities
  • Skill-sharing hubs that create real opportunity

Community Multiplication

  • Every cookout becomes a catalyst
  • These turn into workshops, roundtables, economic exchanges
  • The vibe becomes the foundation of a future we can all grow in

Bridge-Building as a Lifestyle

  • No more outsiders—only a collective “us”
  • Transforming exclusion into connection, and pain into purpose

When a redheaded kid feels seen.

When a Black entrepreneur finds partnership and funding.

When laughter replaces tension.

That’s the revolution.

We’re not here to throw one great party.
We’re here to build something that lasts.

 1. Sustainable Support Systems
• Mentorships, business incubators, and skill-sharing networks
• Creating real opportunity for underrepresented voices
• Uplifting entrepreneurship, not just allyship

 2. Community Multiplication
• Every cookout is a spark
• Every event is a seed
• And every gathering is proof of what’s possible when love leads

 3. Bridge-Building as a Lifestyle

We want this to be a movement where no one feels like an outsider in their own story.
Not just you and me, but we.
